Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

This course applies communicative methods and is suitable for anyone interested in learning to read, write, speak and understand Polish. Suitable for those who have completed all levels of Polish up to 301 or 220 hours of recent face to face tuition.


Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Express opinions about the weather.
  2. Give health advice.
  3. Describe their condition at doctor’s appointment.
  4. Take part in conversations about various sports.
  5. Maintain a phone call conversation.


This course covers the following topics:

  • The weather and seasons
  • Physical appearance and parts of the body
  • Adverbs
  • Sport and related verbs
  • Famous sportspeople in Poland
  • Gerunds

Intended Audience

Suitable for B1 level students, or those who have completed all levels of Polish up to 301 or 220 hours of recent face-to-face tuition.


This course is delivered as a series of interactive workshops where active participation is encouraged.
