If you want to learn to speak Polish, our Polish classes are ideal for adult learners to enjoy a practical and social experience while you learn Polish language and culture. Learn Polish the smart way with Polish courses at CCE, the University of Sydney.

This course applies communicative methods and is suitable for anyone interested in learning to read, write, speak and understand Polish. Suitable for those who have completed all levels of Polish up to 204 or 195 hours of recent face to face tuition.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe various life events using past tense.
  2. Give advice on studying Polish.
  3. Describe their language abilities.
  4. Compare Polish traditions with their own.
  5. Make wishes and write cards.

Content

This course covers the following topics:

  • Biography
  • Past tense – perfective and imperfective verbs
  • Studying Polish language
  • Polish holidays – Christmas and Easter
  • Polish food, traditions, wishes
  • Vocative case

Delivery

This course is delivered as a series of interactive workshops where active participation is encouraged.
