Social Media Marketing. Learn social media marketing strategies that work.

In order for businesses to compete in today’s market and stand out from the competition, an online presence is essential. This course offers an introduction to digital marketing. A workshop-style course with a hands-on approach, you will be introduced to concepts and tools including Google Analytics, SEO, Google Ads (AdWords) and email marketing.


This course aims to introduce you to the elements of digital marketing and equip you with the skills and resources to begin executing your own campaigns.


By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • identify different types of websites and their functions
  • explain the digital marketing measurement model
  • install and create goals in Google Analytics
  • conduct keyword research for Google Ads (AdWords) and SEO
  • create a text ad campaign in Google Analytics
  • complete a mini SEO audit and identify opportunities for improvement
  • create and send an email marketing campaign with MailChimp.

Intended audience

Suitable for small business owners and marketers with little to no online marketing experience who are interested in launching or redeveloping their digital marketing strategies.

Delivery style

Delivered as presenter-taught computer-based training in a computer lab.


You should have administrative access to your business website but no previous experience in digital marketing is required.


Please bring along your email login and password, as well as any other logins and passwords for social media and digital marketing platforms that you might already have.
