An introduction to interview techniques; theories and styles explored, supplemented by video clip examples, practical exercises and specialist guests. The course consists of 5 × 60 – 90 minute lectures plus 1 x feature length documentary with discussion.
Course Content
Whether for a media outlet or corporate use, the interview is a crucial tool – and for it to be effective, it must be professionally used. What are the different types of interview? What are the key elements to master for each? How to prepare for an interview? How to conduct an interview for best results? Detailed answers to these and other questions are delivered in this course, examining the psychology, the practice and the power of interviewing.
